About Us
W.H. Dorward Ltd was established in 1985 by the late Bill Dorward Senior. Bill was not only able to retain literally all of the long-standing clients from his previous employer, but also with quality service being continued, Bill soon had more local clients coming to him. This increased workload was the deciding factor in Bill Dorward Junior leaving school in the summer of 1985 to join W.H. Dorward to start his training towards an Advanced Plumbing and Heating Engineer.
Over the years, many other family members have since joined the business with currently Caroline (Bill’s wife) and Alannah (Bill’s daughter) managing the office. Stuart (Bill’s brother-in-law) now shares much of the management of the business as well. Declan (Bill’s nephew) can turn his hand to not only plumbing but also gas and oil boiler work. But it’s a team effort and without the loyalty of everyone in the business over the years we would not be in the strong position we are now in 40+ years on. The company has continued to grow and is well respected in the industry for provision of guaranteed quality work in plumbing and heating – backed up and maintained with a loyal customer base and long-established skilled workforce.
